How it works
This minimally invasive skincare treatment uses the skin’s own healing properties to help increase collagen, resulting in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and enhanced skin texture.
First, the patient’s blood is drawn, as with any blood test, and from there, the blood is placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. Then, the platelet-rich plasma is injected back into the skin to promote collagen production.
Aftercare
- Patients should refrain from touching their skin for the first six hours after treatment
- Avoid excessive heat exposure and strenuous exercise within the first 24 hours.
- Refrain from using exfoliating/other harsh skincare products for the first 72 hours after treatment.
